Teaching experience:
Have started teaching English from university, mainly about spoken English. Worked as English tutor for one year from which I gained a lot first-hand experience about helping Chinese students developing their English speaking ability. Have been working in Kai En for 1 year as a spoken English teacher. Also work as a part-time E-C translator.

Language and Cultural Experiences
Good English and Mandarin speaker and I speak shanghai dialect and a bit German as well. I have a lot of friends and colleagues who are native English speakers, and we often spend time together and have fun, from which I get to know the cultures of different English speaking countries and understand the culture shocks they experience in China.

About Myself
I was born in Xi’an and lived there with my family until I graduated from high school. I like Shanghai a lot and quite happy to study and work in my parents’ hometown – my parents are both from Shanghai. As living in different places and traveling a lot, I’m quite easy going and like to meet new people and get to know them. Reading, dancing and painting are my favorite among all my hobbies. Hanging out with friends and taking care of my cat relax me a lot when I don’t have time to travel. I also spend time listening to music and learning new things such as developing new hobbies.

Why I came to China.
Shanghai is a lively and energetic city. The fast life pace and developing attracts me to stay here after graduation. The international characteristic of the city gives me a lot of space to develop myself.

Why I chose to work at Kai En?
I have been working in Kai En as a full-time teacher for one year. I really like to work here because the school appreciates good teaching and pays a lot of attention on teaching development. Kai En’s teaching method is also part of the reason why I choose to stay here – with it teachers enable students to learn English positively instead of just training students how to pass English exams. Kai En also supports teachers a lot on their teaching through regular various workshops and trainings, which guarantee the teaching quality as well.
